The Three Little Pigs

Kde bolo tam bolo, žili raz tri malé prasiatka, ktoré sa vydali do sveta hľadať svoje šťastie.
Once upon a time, there lived three little pigs who went out into the world to seek their fortune.

Prvé prasiatko si postavilo domček zo slamy, pretože to bolo najjednoduchšie.
The first little pig built a house out of straw because it was the easiest.

Druhé prasiatko si postavilo domček z raždia.
The second little pig built a house out of sticks.
-
Tretie prasiatko usilovne pracovalo a postavilo si domček z tehál.
The third little pig worked hard and built a house out of bricks.

Jedného dňa prišiel veľký zlý vlk.
One day, a big bad wolf came along.

Prišiel k domčeku prvého prasiatka a povedal:
He came to the first little pig's house and said:

„Prasiatko, prasiatko, pusť ma dnu!“
“Little pig, little pig, let me in!”

„Nie, nie, ani za nič na svete!“
“No, no, not for anything in the world!”

povedalo prasiatko.
said the little pig.

„Tak budem fúkať a dmať, až ti domček rozfúkam!“
“Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!”

A tak fúkal a dmal, až domček sfúkol a prvé prasiatko utekalo k svojmu bratovi do domčeka z raždia.
And so he huffed and he puffed until he blew the house down, and the first little pig ran to his brother's stick house.

Vlk prišiel k domčeku z raždia a povedal:
The wolf came to the stick house and said:

„Prasiatka, prasiatka, pusťte ma dnu!“
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”

„Nie, nie, ani za nič na svete!“
“No, no, not for anything in the world!”

„Tak budem fúkať a dmať, až ti domček rozfúkam!“
“Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!”

A tak fúkal a dmal, až domček sfúkol a dve prasiatka utekali k svojmu bratovi do domčeka z tehál.
And so he huffed and he puffed until he blew the house down, and the two little pigs ran to their brother's brick house.

Vlk prišiel k domčeku z tehál a povedal:
The wolf came to the brick house and said:

„Prasiatka, prasiatka, pusťte ma dnu!“
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”

„Nie, nie, ani za nič na svete!“
“No, no, not for anything in the world!”

„Tak budem fúkať a dmať, až ti domček rozfúkam!“
“Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!”

A so fúkal a dmal, ale domček nesfúkol, pretože bol postavený z pevných tehál.
And so he huffed and he puffed, but he could not blow the house down because it was built of sturdy bricks.

Vlk sa veľmi nahneval, ale bol aj veľmi prefíkaný.
The wolf got very angry, but he was also very sly.

„Prasiatka,“ povedal, „zleziem k vám cez komín a zjem vás!“
“Little pigs,” he said, “I'll come down the chimney and eat you!”

Múdre tretie prasiatko ho počulo a zavesilo nad oheň veľký hrniec s vodou, aby zovrela.
The wise third little pig heard him and hung a large pot of water over the fire to boil.

Keď vlk zliezol cez komín, spadol rovno do hrnca s vriacou vodou.
When the wolf came down the chimney, he fell straight into the pot of boiling water.

Strašne zavyl, utiekol preč a už nikdy viac tri malé prasiatka neotravoval.
He howled terribly, ran away, and never bothered the three little pigs again.

A tak tri malé prasiatka žili šťastne až pomaly neumreli v pevnom domčeku z tehál.
And so the three little pigs lived happily ever after in the sturdy brick house.
