The Three Little Pigs

היו היה פעם שלושה חזירים קטנים שיצאו לחפש את מזלם.

Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who went out to seek their fortune.

החזיר הקטן הראשון בנה את ביתו מקש, כי זה היה הדבר הקל ביותר לעשות.

The first little pig built his house of straw, because it was the easiest thing to do.

החזיר הקטן השני בנה את ביתו מזרדים.

The second little pig built his house of sticks.

החזיר הקטן השלישי עבד קשה ובנה את ביתו מלבנים.

The third little pig worked hard and built his house of bricks.

יום אחד הגיע זאב גדול ורע.

One day, a big bad wolf arrived.

הוא הלך אל ביתו של החזיר הראשון ואמר,

He went to the first pig's house and said,

"חזיר קטן, חזיר קטן, תן לי להיכנס!"

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in!"

"לא, לא, לא בשערות סנטרי הקטנטן!"

"No, no, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!"

אמר החזיר.

said the pig.

"אז אנשוף ואשוף ואמוטט את ביתך בנשיפה!"

"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"

אז הוא נשף ושף ומוטט את הבית, והחזיר הקטן הראשון רץ אל בית הזרדים של אחיו.

So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down, and the first little pig ran to his brother's house of sticks.

הזאב הגיע אל בית הזרדים ואמר,

The wolf arrived at the house of sticks and said,

"חזירים קטנים, חזירים קטנים, תנו לי להיכנס!"

"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!"

"לא, לא, לא בשערות סנטרינו הקטנטנים!"

"No, no, not by the hair on our chinny chin chins!"

"אז אנשוף ואשוף ואמוטט את ביתכם בנשיפה!"

"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"

אז הוא נשף ושף ומוטט את הבית, ושני החזירים הקטנים רצו אל בית הלבנים של אחיהם.

So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down, and the two little pigs ran to their brother's house of bricks.

הזאב הגיע אל בית הלבנים ואמר,

The wolf arrived at the house of bricks and said,

"חזירים קטנים, חזירים קטנים, תנו לי להיכנס!"

"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!"

"לא, לא, לא בשערות סנטרינו הקטנטנים!"

"No, no, not by the hair on our chinny chin chins!"

"אז אנשוף ואשוף ואמוטט את ביתכם בנשיפה!"

"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"

אז הוא נשף ושף, אך הוא לא הצליח למוטט את הבית, מכיוון שהוא היה עשוי מלבנים חזקות.

So he huffed and he puffed, but he could not blow the house down, because it was made of strong bricks.

הזאב כעס מאוד, אך הוא היה גם חכם מאוד.

The wolf was very angry, but he was also very clever.

"חזירים קטנים," הוא אמר,

"Little pigs," he said,

"אני ארד דרך הארובה שלכם ואוכל אתכם!"

"I will come down your chimney and eat you!"

החזיר השלישי החכם שמע אותו, ותלה סיר גדול של מים מעל האש כדי שירתחו.

The clever third pig heard him, and hung a large pot of water over the fire to boil.

כשהזאב ירד בארובה, הוא נפל ישר לתוך הסיר הרותח.

When the wolf came down the chimney, he fell right into the boiling pot.

הוא השמיע יללה גדולה וברח, ולא הציק עוד לעולם לשלושת החזירים הקטנים.

He let out a great howl and ran away, and never bothered the three little pigs again.

וכך חיו שלושת החזירים הקטנים באושר ועושר מאז ועד היום בבית הלבנים החזק.

And so, the three little pigs lived happily ever after in the strong brick house.
