1. The Three Little Pigs

  2. Once upon a time there were three little pigs who set out to seek their fortune.

    从前，有三只小猪，它们出发去寻找自己的幸福生活。

  3. The first little pig built his house out of straw, because it was the easiest thing to do.

    第一只小猪用稻草盖了房子，因为这是最容易做的事。

  4. The second little pig built his house out of sticks.

    第二只小猪用树枝盖了房子。

  5. The third little pig worked hard and built his house out of bricks.

    第三只小猪工作很努力，用砖头盖了房子。

  6. One day a big bad wolf came along.

    有一天，来了一只大灰狼。

  7. He went to the first pig's house and said,

  8. "Little pig, little pig, let me come in!"

  9. "No, no, not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!"

  10. said the pig.

  11. "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!"

    “那我就吹开它，吹胀它，把你的房子吹个稀巴烂！”

  12. So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down, and the first little pig ran to his brother's house of sticks.

    于是大灰狼吹了又吹，把稻草屋吹倒了。第一只小猪连忙跑到它哥哥的树枝屋里。

  13. The wolf came to the house of sticks and said,

    大灰狼来到树枝屋前，说道：

  14. "Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!"

    “小猪，小猪们，让我进来！”

  15. "No, no, not by the hair of our chinny-chin-chins!"

    “不行，不行，绝对不行，连门都没有！”

  16. "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!"

    “那我就吹开它，吹胀它，把你的房子吹个稀巴烂！”

  17. So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down, and the two little pigs ran to their brother's house of bricks.

    于是大灰狼吹了又吹，把树枝屋也吹倒了。两只小猪急忙跑到它们弟弟的砖头屋里。

  18. The wolf came to the house of bricks and said,

    大灰狼来到砖头屋前，说道：

  19. "Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!"

    “小猪，小猪们，让我进来！”

  20. "No, no, not by the hair of our chinny-chin-chins!"

    “不行，不行，绝对不行，连门都没有！”

  21. "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!"

    “那我就吹开它，吹胀它，把你的房子吹个稀巴烂！”

  22. So he huffed and he puffed, but he could not blow the house down, for it was made of strong bricks.

    于是它吹了又吹，却怎么也吹不倒这栋房子，因为它是用坚固的砖头盖成的。

  23. The wolf was very angry, but he was also very clever.

    大灰狼非常生气，但它也很聪明。

  24. "Little pigs," he said,

    “小猪们，” 它说道：

  25. "I will come down your chimney and eat you up!"

    “我要从你们的烟囱爬下去，把你们通通吃掉！”

  26. The wise third pig heard him, and he hung a big pot of water over the fire to boil.

    聪明的老三听到了它的话，便在火炉上吊起了一大锅水烧开。

  27. When the wolf came down the chimney, he fell straight into the boiling pot.

    当大灰狼从烟囱滑下来时，正好直接掉进了烧开的锅里。

  28. He gave a great howl and ran away, and never troubled the three little pigs again.

    它发出了一声惨叫，拔腿就跑，从此再也没有来找过三只小猪的麻烦。

  29. And so the three little pigs lived happily ever after in the strong house of bricks.

    就这样，三只小猪在坚固的砖房里过上了幸福快乐的生活。
