  3. „Du meine Güte!“, sagte Henny-Penny;

    “My goodness!”, said Henny-Penny;

    “the sky is falling down; I must go and tell the king.”

    So she went on, and she went on, and she went on, until she met Cocky-Locky.

  6. „Wohin gehst du, Henny-Penny?“, fragt Cocky-Locky.

    So Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, and Ducky-Daddles went to tell the king that the sky was falling down.

    So they went on, and they went on, and they went on, until they met Goosey-Poosey.

  18. „Wohin geht ihr, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky und Ducky-Daddles?“, sagte Goosey-Poosey.

    “Where are you going, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, and Ducky-Daddles?”, said Goosey-Poosey.

  20. „Darf ich mit euch kommen?“, sagte Goosey-Poosey.

    “May I come with you?”, said Goosey-Poosey.

  21. „Sicherlich“, sagten Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky und Ducky-Daddles.

    “Certainly”, said Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, and Ducky-Daddles.

    So Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, and Goosey-Poosey went to tell the king that the sky was falling down.

    So they went on, and they went on, and they went on, until they met Turkey-Lurkey.

  24. „Wohin geht ihr, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles und Goosey-Poosey?“, fragt Turkey-Lurkey.

    “Where are you going, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, and Goosey-Poosey?”, asks Turkey-Lurkey.

  25. „Oh!

    “Oh! We are going to tell the king that the sky is falling down”, said Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, and Goosey-Poosey.

  26. „Darf ich mit euch kommen, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles und Goosey-Poosey?“, sagte Turkey-Lurkey.

    “May I come with you, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, and Goosey-Poosey?”, said Turkey-Lurkey.

  27. „Aber natürlich, Turkey-Lurkey“, sagten Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles und Goosey-Poosey.

    “Why, of course, Turkey-Lurkey”, said Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, and Goosey-Poosey.

    So Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey all went to tell the king that the sky was falling down.

    So they went on, and they went on, and they went on, until they met Foxy-Woxy, and Foxy-Woxy said to Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey:

  30. „Wohin geht ihr, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey und Turkey-Lurkey?“

    “Where are you going, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey?”

  31. Und Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey und Turkey-Lurkey sagten zu Foxy-Woxy:

    And Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey said to Foxy-Woxy:

    “We are going to tell the king that the sky is falling down.”

  33. „Oh! Aber das ist nicht der Weg zum König, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey und Turkey-Lurkey“, sagt Foxy-Woxy;

    “Oh! But that is not the way to the king, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey”, says Foxy-Woxy;

    “I know the right way; shall I show it to you?”

  35. „Aber natürlich, Foxy-Woxy“, sagten Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey und Turkey-Lurkey.

    “Why, of course, Foxy-Woxy”, said Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey.

    So Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, Turkey-Lurkey, and Foxy-Woxy all went to tell the king that the sky was falling down.

    So they went on, and they went on, and they went on, until they came to a narrow and dark hole.

    Now that was the door to Foxy-Woxy's cave.

  39. Aber Foxy-Woxy sagte zu Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey und Turkey-Lurkey:

    But Foxy-Woxy said to Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey:

    “This is the short way to the king's palace; you will soon be there if you follow me. I will go first and you come after, Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey.”

    “Why, of course, certainly, without a doubt, why not?”, said Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey.

    So Foxy-Woxy went into his cave, and he did not go very far, but turned around to wait for Henny-Penny, Cocky-Locky, Ducky-Daddles, Goosey-Poosey, and Turkey-Lurkey.

    So at last Turkey-Lurkey went first through the dark hole into the cave.

    He had not gone very far when, “Hrumph”, Foxy-Woxy bit Turkey-Lurkey's head off and threw his body over his left shoulder.

    Then Goosey-Poosey went in, and, “Hrumph”, off was her head and Goosey-Poosey was thrown beside Turkey-Lurkey.

    Then Ducky-Daddles waddled down, and, “Hrumph”, went Foxy-Woxy, and Ducky-Daddles' head was off and Ducky-Daddles was thrown beside Turkey-Lurkey and Goosey-Poosey.

    Then Cocky-Locky strutted down into the cave and he had not gone very far when, “Snap, Hrumph!”

  48. Foxy-Woxy machte und Cocky-Locky neben Turkey-Lurkey, Goosey-Poosey und Ducky-Daddles geworfen wurde.

    went Foxy-Woxy, and Cocky-Locky was thrown beside Turkey-Lurkey, Goosey-Poosey, and Ducky-Daddles.

    But Foxy-Woxy had taken two bites at Cocky-Locky, and when the first snap only hurt Cocky-Locky but did not kill him, he called out to Henny-Penny.

    Then she turned around and ran back home, and so she never told the king that the sky was falling down.
